This Privacy Policy describes how First Gate Priority ("VisaFetch," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit visafetch.com, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
VisaFetch is an independent service that monitors publicly available appointment availability on third-party visa application centers (such as VFS Global) and provides users with alerts, checklists, and related tools to help them prepare for Portugal D7 and D8 long-stay visa applications.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by VFS Global, the Government of Portugal, the Portuguese Consulate, or any government agency.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use our Services, you may provide:
Account information: name, email address, and password.
Contact information: phone number (if you opt into SMS alerts).
Profile information: the VFS Global office you select, your assigned US state, the visa type you are applying for (e.g., D7 or D8), and any preferences you set.
Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects your payment card details. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications: messages you send us through our contact form, email, or support channels.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect:
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages visited, features used, timestamps, and crash logs.
Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7 below.
Location information: approximate location derived from your IP address.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for, store, or process:
Your VFS Global login credentials.
Your passport number, date of birth, or other government-issued identifiers.
Your financial documents, bank statements, or relocation paperwork.
If you ever receive a request that appears to come from VisaFetch and asks for any of the above, treat it as suspicious and contact us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
Create and manage your account.
Perform automated appointment availability checks at the VFS office you select.
Send you alerts, notifications, and Service-related communications by email, SMS, or in-app messages.
Provide attorney-vetted checklists, booking tips, and other Service features.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Respond to your support requests and inquiries.
Monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Services.
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract: to provide the Services you sign up for.
Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve our Services, prevent fraud, and communicate with you, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent: where required, for example for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below.
5.1 Service Providers
We share information with vendors who support our operations, including:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.
Email and SMS delivery providers (for sending alerts and account communications).
Payment processors.
Analytics and error-monitoring providers.
Customer support tools.
These providers are bound by contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to: (a) comply with a law, court order, or other legal process; (b) protect the rights, property, or safety of VisaFetch, our users, or others; (c) investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
5.3 With Your Consent
We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
5.4 What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information with VFS Global, the Portuguese government, or any consulate.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, measure usage, and improve performance.
The categories we use include:
Strictly necessary cookies required for core functionality (such as authentication).
Functional cookies that remember your preferences.
Analytics cookies that help us understand how the Services are used.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality. Where required, we present a cookie banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to:
Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Maintain security and prevent abuse.
Specific retention periods vary by data type. Check logs and screenshots are typically retained for the duration of your active subscription plus a limited buffer period to support troubleshooting and dispute resolution. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 10).
8. International Data Transfers
VisaFetch is operated from the United States, and our service providers may be located in the US or other countries. If you access the Services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: request that we delete your personal information.
Portability: receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
Restriction or objection: ask us to restrict or stop certain processing.
Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent.
Opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising: we do not engage in either, but you have the right to confirm this.
Non-discrimination: we will not deny service or charge different prices for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 14. We will verify your identity before responding and will reply within the timeframes required by applicable law.
You can also:
Update account information directly from your account settings.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing message. Transactional messages (such as appointment alerts and account notices) cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account.
Stop SMS alerts by replying STOP to any SMS we send.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the rights described above. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
